  Minister Promises Collaboration For The Development Of The Mining Sector

As parts of the strategic workable frameworks to reposition the Mines and Steel Sector, the Ministry has expressed her readiness to collaborate with other relevant agencies to develop the sector.

This declaration was made by the Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Arc. Mohammed Musa Sada while receiving his counterpart, the Minister of State for Interior, Mr. Humphrey Aba in his office.

The Minister said “we can only move forward appropriately and properly by cooperating with others in areas where we can help one another to achieve results.

Arc Mohammed Sada who commended the Minister’s visit to the Ministry said the visit was the first official visit since his assumption of office.

 He disclosed that the activities of the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development are private sector- driven and attract a lot of international expertise and investors with funds from all walks of life, stressing that a cordial relationship needs to be established between the two Ministries and other agencies to   achieve mandates.  

He stated that a conducive environment is required for investors to come into the country to develop the mining and other sectors for the socio-economic development of Nigeria.

The Minister assured that the two Ministries and others would continue to sustain a cordial relationship to achieve the Acting President’s desire of delivering dividends of democracy to Nigerians and members of the public.

In his remark, the Minister of State for Interior, Mr. Humphrey Aba said that the purpose of his visit was to discuss areas of mutual interests and cooperation as regards the activities of the two Ministries.

 Humphrey Aba said his Ministry’s activities cut across other Ministries, adding that the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development is a specialized Ministry that attracts investors from all walks of life while majority of them have to come through the Ministry of Interior for their relevant immigration documents.
