Arc. Musa Mohammed Sada, Honourable Minister of Mines and Steel Development

 

The Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Arc. Musa Mohammed Sada has expressed optimism that the Mines and Steel sector will contribute significantly the socio-economic growth of the nation.

The minister made this declaration during his meeting with the management staff of the Ministry on his assumption of duty as the Minister.

The Minister promised to work as a team with the Directors and Professionals in the Ministry and its parastatals so as to move the sector forward.

Arc. Musa Sada added that strategic workable programmes that would stand the test of time would be developed to achieve results for the mining sector.

He said such workable programmes would be dynamic and strategic in such a way that would ensure continuity and be built upon by any successor.

He then charged the directors in the Ministry to be proactive and embrace cordial relationship so as to grow the sector.


Provision Of Conducive Environment For Mining Operations Is Our Focus - Federal Government.

The Federal Government has reiterated its determination to provide a conducive environment for mining operations in the country.

Communiqué Issued At The End Of A One-Day Stakeholders Forum On Sustainable Mining Operations Held At J. B. Yakubu Conference Centre, Gusau, Zamfara State. August 12, 2010.

The stakeholders’ forum on sustainable mining operations in Nigeria was organized by the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development in conjunction with the Zamfara State Government.  The forum which was prompted by the recent incident of lead poisoning in Zamfara State, was aimed at sensitizing the stakeholders in mineral development on the best mining practices for sustainable development.
